Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts of Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.

The Employment and Adult Education Administration is responsible for the municipality's labor market measures, daily activities, adult education, and issues related to higher education, such as vocational training and other post-secondary education. Our goal is to provide the residents of Botkyrka with good conditions to engage in studies, work, and employment. We are 330 employees working to enable more citizens to achieve self-sufficiency.

The Position and Responsibilities

Among long-term recipients of financial assistance, women over 45 years old in Botkyrka find it more challenging to establish themselves in the labor market.

This is often linked to health issues, financial difficulties, and social isolation. Previous interventions have yielded short-term results, and the number of women with health issues has increased. The project Health to Work is funded by the ESF and aims to support 240 women by first breaking isolation and strengthening health. It also includes issues related to power, violence, and relationships. Subsequently, labor market interventions will be implemented. This is driven by Botkyrka Municipality in collaboration with the Social Administration and local health centers.

We are looking for a project manager for the project for a fixed-term employment from January 2026 to December 31, 2028.

As a project manager, you will have overall responsibility for the project and lead the work from planning to follow-up. You will set clear milestones, monitor results, and drive the team forward to ensure goal achievement. You will coordinate all central decisions and maintain contacts with internal and external stakeholders. You will develop the initiatives together with funders, partners, and relevant administrations to ensure that activities are based on the needs of the target group. Together with the team, you will tailor measures and drive implementation. You will also be responsible for communicating, marketing, and disseminating the project's results through lectures and targeted advocacy work.

Your main responsibilities:

• ensure the project's implementation according to the project plan
• follow up on all aspects of the project to ensure quality and goal achievement
• collaborate with other actors to disseminate the project's results.
• monitor the external environment and use insights to develop the project's initiatives.
• inform funders, steering group, and other stakeholders about the project's development and results.
• be responsible for reporting results and initiatives to partners

The project unit is responsible for the municipal activity responsibility (KAA) and current projects. Together with authorities, businesses, and civil society, we work to get our participants into work or studies.

You Who Are Applying to Us

You have a university degree in public health, behavioral science, social science, or another relevant field that the employer assesses as equivalent. You also have documented experience in leading larger and complex projects within the non-profit or public sector.

Other Requirements:

• Experience working at the intersection of labor market, health, and civil society.
• Documented experience communicating in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, in professional contexts.
• Experience in budget work and understanding of financial processes.

Meritorious:

• Experience in leadership, either as a manager or in another leadership position.
• Experience in driving ESF projects.
• Knowledge and/or experience in gender and equality issues.
• Experience in the healthcare system and issues related to women's health.
• Experience working in the non-profit sector.
• Experience working in the public sector.
• Experience in international collaborations and working with funders/donors.

As a project manager, you combine structure, drive, and the ability to create good relationships. You work strategically with a holistic perspective and ensure that the project meets its goals. This means planning and organizing work effectively, making priorities, and making decisions when necessary.

You have a strong results focus and follow up on the project's progress with both analysis and action. At the same time, you build trust and create collaboration with colleagues and external actors. Through clear communication and coaching leadership, you engage the team and get everyone to work towards the same goal. Your leadership ability is combined with administrative skill, enabling you to manage budgets, reporting, and documentation in a structured way.
